New-look Persides offers extended range of specialist services

Persides, the Bristol-based consultancy, electronics systems and software specialist, has secured a stand at the DVD 2009 event at Millbrook Proving Ground in Millbrook, Bedfordshire, which is being held on June 24 and 25.

Persides’ continuing success has led to the company recently dividing its businesses into two to deal with its growing client base. Persides Consultancy Services Limited will build on the company’s enviable reputation for being the partner of choice for UK and international clients working on highly sensitive and classified defence and aerospace contracts. Persides Limited will concentrate on VEEcamÒ sales, product development, new inventions and supplying technology development services.

Outlining the importance of DVD 2009, Persides Managing Director Mark Cook said: “DVD is an excellent event to speak to military users, procurement staff from DE&S and to network with our current customers and suppliers.”

Persides will also be promoting its partnership with independent specialist Harmonic which offers defence and security customers vital support in ‘Through Life Capability Management’ via its newly formed Harmonic-Persides Alliance – providing an even greater range of consultancy services.

DVD, organised by the Ministry of Defence, is the ideal environment for companies equipping and supporting UK Armed Forces to meet and share ideas and their experience in creating equipment and support that is critical for UK forces in hotspots all over the world.

Last year’s event attracted more than 5,000 invited visitors, with more than 270 companies exhibiting. This year’s show will feature a range of equipment, from vehicles and systems to construction plant and camouflage, including protected mobility and support vehicles.

About Persides

Persides was created by four individuals who, combined, offer a depth of experience and skills covering all the disciplines required for delivery and support of complex electronic systems.

It has built an impressive reputation in the defence, aerospace and security markets, due to its high-calibre consultancy services and innovative technology products for the electronics systems and software sector. Customers include BAE Systems, Thales and Raytheon.

Although defence and aerospace remain core to Persides’ operations, the organisation’s growing products portfolio has broader commercial capabilities. This prompted a recent decision to split the business into two distinct segments – Persides Consultancy Services Limited, working with clients on highly sensitive and classified defence and aerospace contracts; and Persides Limited, focusing on sales of the highly successful VEEcam® body-worn video system plus product development, new inventions and technology development services.

Managing Director Mark Cook says: “Our highly experienced team at Persides can provide a full and totally comprehensive range of specialist services to provide turn-key solutions for our customers.”
