Natalie enjoys made-to-measure success thanks to The Heath
Independent fashion designer Natalie Beard has praised staff at The Heath Business and Technical Park for supporting the growth of her innovative clothing venture.
Natalie, who owns Love Frocks, started her company from home and since then has gone on to a design studio and her own shop unit, both based at The Heath in Runcorn, Cheshire. She said: “The staff at The Heath are so helpful and they can't do enough for you. This time last year all I ever wanted was to have my own fashion business, it is hard work and a daunting thought but staff at The Heath have made the move so much easier.” After graduating from Liverpool John Moores University in 2006 with a degree in fashion design, Natalie needed a professional space for clients to visit to discuss ideas and fittings and The Heath accommodated her needs by offering a studio space. Since then her business has boomed with clients travelling from Liverpool, Chester and all over Cheshire. Following the growth of the business, the move into the shop unit came at a perfect time for Natalie. She said: “I jumped at the chance for the shop unit as the public can pop in and have a look rather than booking an appointment to see me. My new shop is more of a drop-in studio rather than a conventional shop as I more often take orders as all my garments are made to measure. “Clients can pop in and have a look at my sample dresses, look at sketches, pick their colour and we can design something together. I do have dresses that are for sale where customers can try on and buy. I think it works well at The Heath as I don't have rails of stock, it is more like a fashion design service.” Recently featured in the New Designers Show at Liverpool Fashion Week, Natalie wowed crowds with her Spring/Summer 09 collection. She said: “It was my first show under the name Love Frocks so I was really looking forward to it. Everything went as planned so I was really pleased. It is nice to see my collection on real girls and hearing all the comments from the show just gave me a boost.” For more information on Love Frocks please contact Natalie on 07875 731869 or visit www.lovefrocks.com.
