Birkenhead facility management services specialists Oculus have been appointed to back up The Heath's internal security team, ensuring the Park has around-the-clock security personnel on site to deal with any eventualities or emergencies.

The new arrangement will operate from Wednesday, March 1st.

John Lewis MBE, Managing Director of SOG Ltd that own and operate the award-winning site, says: “When the pandemic struck, we introduced remote out-of-hours security surveillance to monitor activity at times when our dedicated in-house guards were not on site. With the pandemic now over, and with our residents now returning along with many new businesses, we have decided the time is now right to enhance the level of protection that we offer to all of our customers.”

Mr Lewis adds: “Security has always been an extremely important focus for SOG. We constantly review and upgrade our processes and procedures, investing in the latest security equipment to ensure our buildings, especially in the non-public areas, are secure and monitored, particularly the areas in which our science laboratories are located. This new agreement with Oculus means that in the future The Heath will be even more safe and protected at night, at weekends and on public holidays.”

As well as being specialists in security, Oculus offer a range of facilities management services including cleaning, grounds and property maintenance, waste management and solutions for managing vacant property.
