EtchTech to open Customer Demonstration facility at The Heath

EtchTech Systems Limited, a new scientific business which specialises in dry etching for the semiconductor industry, has become the latest business to move on to The Heath Business and Technical Park in Runcorn.

SOG Ltd, owner and operator of The Heath, is providing office space and a research and development laboratory for EtchTech.

SOG’s technicians have created a bespoke space for EtchTech in which their scientists will also have a Customer Demonstration facility to enable them to showcase their cutting-edge technology. The laboratory includes environmentally-friendly extraction fume cupboards and new systems to supply nitrogen, compressed air and electricity.

EtchTech, whose main office is in Deeside, Flintshire, moved on to The Heath earlier this month and expect to have their Customer Demonstration facility fully operational in October.

Scientist Dr Raj Odedra, Director — Head of Business for EtchTech, says: “As a new business we needed a good and easily accessible location in which to set up our R&D laboratory and Customer Demonstration plant. The Heath is ideally situated and has also been able to offer a high level of technical support to help us quickly convert the space into a bespoke laboratory to meet our very specific requirements.”

Dr Odedra says that EtchTech are currently recruiting technicians and scientists to their Runcorn operation.
