Joe Calzaghe dinner launches special events series at The Heath

An evening with former super middle-weight World Boxing Champion Joe Calzaghe is coming to The Heath next month in the first of a new series of special events hosted by the business and technical park.

The sell-out black tie dinner, run in partnership with Murrell’s Tours and Events Company on Good Friday (March 30), will be followed by a night of comedy with Liverpool’s renowned actor and comedian Ricky Tomlinson, of Royle Family fame, on 20th April.

A third event with Arsenal legend and Sky Football pundit Paul Merson is planned for September with final details to be announced.

Audience members can enjoy dinner and drinks from The Heath’s bar menu, and lots of laughter thanks to appearances by comedians Max Pressure and Gary Skyner.

These special nights are open to the public and join The Heath’s calendar of events, weddings and private celebrations in the park’s function rooms, which are currently enjoying a refurbishment, including the fitting of new carpets, a new dance floor, new lighting and air conditioning.

A new automatic curtain allows the space to be hired as a whole accommodating 300 people, or reduced to half the size for smaller events with around 80 guests.

“We are very pleased to be hosting these fantastic evenings with Joe, Ricky and Paul,” says Anthony Stonebanks, Catering Manager, “and they are proving to be very popular. Our dinner with Joe is already sold out, and I’d encourage anyone who wishes to see Ricky to book as soon as possible!”

The Heath’s ever popular 80’s Night returns on 7th April, while Simon Maddock’s charitable Old Skool Haven disco night continues its support of Halton Haven Hospice on 19th May.

Tickets to see Ricky Tomlinson’s ‘My A**e’, priced £20 each or tables of x10, are available from Tony Murrell’s Tours and Events on 07852 257705 and The Heath Business and Technical Park, please see the website for details, www.theheath.com.
