Alpha LSG secures five year contract extension with Jet2.com

Alpha LSG has been awarded a five year extension to its contract to provide catering and logistics services to Jet2.com's entire UK network including new routes out of Birmingham and London-Stansted that are being launched from the end of March.

The enhanced contract which runs through to 2021 reflects the excellent long-standing relationship between Alpha LSG and Jet2.com since the award-winning airline commenced its UK operations back in 2003 from its main hub at Leeds-Bradford.

Since then the friendly low fares carrier, which is recognised as the UK’s fourth largest scheduled operator, has extended its services at the regional airports of Belfast, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle, now adding Birmingham and London-Stansted to its portfolio.

Alpha LSG is responsible for procurement, warehousing and packing of Jet2.com’s retail products into bar sets and Onboard service products which are packaged into kits for passengers. Hot meals are supplied to the airline’s customers including entrees from Alpha LSG’s frozen food production facility along with full logistical support for on- and off-loading aircraft, equipment cleaning and storage.

Jet2.com will have a fleet of 75 aircraft by Summer 17 and operates over 250 scheduled routes to around 65 destinations from nine UK bases. Through the package holiday specialist Jet2holidays, holidaymakers benefit from having everything wrapped up in one package and have access to great value package breaks across thousands of 2-5 star hotels, with Jet2.com flights, industry leading 22kg baggage allowance and airport transfers included, through a £60 per person deposit.

Offering full ATOL protection and flexible stays, Jet2holidays includes free infant places on all holidays as well as 0% credit card fees. Jet2holidays customers also benefit from 24-hour in-resort service and the company’s exclusive and free Resort Flight Check-In service at selected hotels, which allows customers to check their bags in securely at the hotel on their day of departure, leaving them luggage free for the rest of the day and at the airport.
