Neptunus in the driving seat for auto events in Bavaria

Neptunus partnered with Essex-based marketing and communications agency Mansfields Design to create an impressive temporary exhibition venue at the centre of a series of high-profile events for Ford of Europe in Bavaria, Germany.

The events included the press launch of the new Ford Edge SUV and the introduction of Ford’s cutting-edge EcoBlue diesel engine featuring in the iconic Transit commercial vehicle range.

The exhibition space built by Neptunus at Hohenkammer near Munich was in place for seven weeks through May and June. Three different interior environments were designed by Mansfields to support the individual events, each including display, hospitality and reception areas

In the final event, over 300 top managers from 22 countries gathered for an exclusive briefing on Ford’s full European product line up. Ford Fleet Expo 2016, held over two days, included representatives from fleet, leasing and rental companies.

A 10-strong team of technicians from Neptunus took just a day to erect the 375 square metre Alure Globe structure — providing the Mansfields designers with a blank canvas to create the high-tech venue in which to showcase Ford’s latest products. Also included were theatre-style presentation facilities where guests were briefed on the car giant’s latest technological advancements.

Neptunus was specifically chosen for the project by Mansfields Design, a recognised leader in the organisation of major product launches for the automotive industry.

Ford is the second bestselling brand in the European passenger car fleet market. The Fiesta has been best-selling small car for four years running while the Mustang is currently the bestselling sports car and Ford Ranger the bestselling pick-up.

April Trasler, Managing Director of Neptunus, said: “We appreciated the opportunity to work alongside the dynamic designers at Mansfields Design on such a prestigious series of events for one of the world’s leading motor companies.”

Commenting on why Mansfields Design selected Neptunus as its temporary structure partner, Event Designer Wayne Borrett said: “Our clients at Ford expected a high quality yet flexible stand-alone structure in which to host their VIP customers and media guests for a sequence of business events. Neptunus had exactly the structure we were looking for, and we were very pleased to be able to work with such a professional team.”
