Alpha LSG win Garuda Indonesia contract at London-Heathrow

Alpha LSG has been appointed by Garuda Indonesia to provide Inflight Catering Services to the airline's flights to Jakarta out of London-Heathrow.

Under the three-year agreement Alpha LSG will cater the five flights per week on Garuda Indonesia’s new route, the first non-stop service between the UK and Indonesia, providing approximately 100,000 meals per annum to First, Business and Economy-class passengers.

Paul Gurnell (pictured right), Alpha LSG’s Sales and Marketing Director, said: “Our appointment by yet another Skytrax 5-star airline once again underpins our reputation for culinary innovation and excellence. Alpha LSG was awarded this contract as a direct result of our culinary team’s unrivalled ability to offer superb authentic Indonesian cuisine and high quality Western menus to Garuda Indonesia, in line with their 5-star status.”

Alpha LSG now supplies catering services to five of the six Skytrax 5-star airlines operating out of London-Heathrow.
The national airline of Indonesia, Garuda Indonesia operates services between London and Jakarta with an inbound service from Singapore, connecting UK travellers to these key business hubs as well as paradisiacal holiday destinations through its 60 domestic routes, including Bali.

Jubi Prasetyo, General Manager UK & Ireland for Garuda Indonesia said: “A key element of providing our passengers an authentic Indonesian experience is the cuisine that they enjoy during their flight. We’re grateful to have a proven caterer like Alpha LSG providing that experience, one which we’re sure will reflect our airline’s five-star status.”
