Neptunus in the frame at Photo London exhibition

Neptunus' reputation as the temporary structure supplier of choice for London's major cultural events has been underpinned by its appointment to provide space for the prestigious Photo London exhibition.

Photo London showcased work from more than 85 galleries world-wide, along with photographs from many of London’s leading photographers, over four public days from May 19-22 with an exclusive private viewing day on the eve of the event.

Working alongside operations and event production specialists 20-20 Events, Neptunus was appointed by Cultural Consultancy Candlestar to create a temporary venue for the occasion at Edmond J. SafraFountain Court, Somerset House, including space for exhibitions, talks, lectures, screenings and book signings.

Neptunus’ technicians took just five days to build the 850 square metre temporary venue in three Alu Hall structures. The company was also responsible for bespoke external branding and carpeting.

Neptunus Project Director Ben Keast said: “We are delighted to have been asked to supply structures to yet another major cultural event in the Capital. Somerset House is a wonderful venue and Photo London is a superb, high profile event to be working on. It has been a great pleasure to work alongside the Photo London team as well as 20:20 events to produce a fantastic extension to an iconic venue.”

Photo London Director FaribaFarshad said: “We needed additional exhibition space for Photo London and Neptunus have provided us with an ideal solution thanks to their high quality and very versatile temporary structures which complements the historic Somerset House building, one of London’s major arts and cultural centres.”

Photo London is one of a number of high-profile cultural events that Neptunus supplies structures to. Later this year the company will once again be creating temporary venues for major arts occasions including Masterpiece London and the Frieze London and Frieze Masters art fairs.
