Neptunus take title of UK's Best Structure Company at Event Productions Awards 2016

London, February 15, 2016: Neptunus have been voted Best Structure Company at the Event Production Awards 2016.

Neptunus saw off fierce competition from industry rivals to win the coveted award in recognition for supplying temporary structures to a host of leading international events including last year’s Rugby World Cup.

Managing Director April Trasler was joined on stage by colleagues Ben Keast, Richard Treml and Rob Smith to receive the award at the London Lancaster Hotel on Friday, February 12.

Judges said: "Neptunus stood out well above the rest, showing positive growth, innovation and sustainability. We thought Neptunus' layout was impressive and the enormity of the structure provided for the Rugby World Cup was well explained and really helped us understand the challenges, and hense the high score."

Neptunus built a bespoke hospitality village situated beside the main stadium at Twickenham to provide Rugby Travel & Hospitality Ltd, the official provider of hospitality to Rugby World Cup 2015, facilities for 6,420 covers required to meet the huge demand from the corporate sector and fans generally. Utilising their state-of-the-art Evolution II structures with mezzanines to maximise floor space in the buildings, Neptunus delivered three unique facilities covering a total of 18,700 square metres of space.

April Trasler said: “We are thrilled to receive the award for Best Structure Company particularly as there was such tough competition in this category with seven other companies also reaching the short-list. The Rugby World Cup was the premier sporting event of 2015 and the standard of the temporary hospitality infrastructure at Twickenham had to match, and even surpass, the wonderful permanent hospitality facilities inside of the stadium. It was a marvellous opportunity for us to showcase the innovation and cutting-edge technology of Neptunus.”
