e2B becomes official Wings for Life supporter

Chesham, Bucks: January 19, 2016: e2B – Global Infusion Group's logistics and brand support division – has become an official charity partner of Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation.

Thanks to its longstanding relationship with Red Bull UK offering live logistics and brand support to close to 1000 events annually, e2B has also supported Wings for Life - Red Bull’s chosen charity which was co-founded by the owner of the iconic drinks brand.
Wings for Life funds world class scientific research and clinical trials around the globe aimed at finding a cure for spinal cord injury. To date 124 spinal cord research projects have been funded at the world’s most well-respected institutes and a number of vital breakthroughs have been made.

The charity’s research focuses on how to minimise damage, stimulate repair and restore function after an injury to the spinal cord has been sustained. The developments so far provide strong hope that treatment options are closer than they have ever been. However, intensive research work is needed before a breakthrough in human medicine can be achieved.

Matt Laurenson, Operations Manager, e2B, said: “As we have been working with Wings for Life unofficially for quite a few years, we really felt it was time to formalise the relationship and to officially start fundraising and shouting about the brilliant and positive work they do. Millions of people are living with a spinal injury across the world and there is currently no medical treatment available to repair the injured spinal cord. By working together we can actively help Wings for Life drive forward the much needed research to help find a cure.”

He added: “We have a number of staff who have already taken part in the Wings for Life World Run and will continue to do so as part of our fundraising effort. It’s a completely unique running and wheelchair event that sees participants start simultaneously in 33 locations around the world and being hunted down by ‘Catcher Cars’ moving at increasing speed, knocking people out of the race one by one. We will be pushing for record entry levels from within the business for this year’s race that takes place May 8 in Cambridge.”

Hannah Bostock, Partnership Manager, Wings for Life UK said: “We are delighted and very proud to formalise our ongoing relationship with e2B. The company and its employees have already been great supporters which we are extremely grateful for.”

She added: “We are proud to say that 100% of the money donated and raised by e2B will go directly to spinal cord injury research as our founders generously cover all of our administrative costs.”
