Neptunus blossom at UK’s most popular flower shows

London: August 4, 2015: Neptunus has once again supplied structures to the world’s largest and most famous horticultural events – the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The Royal Horticultural Society appointed Neptunus to provide a range of catering facilities for thousands of visitors attending their two flagship flower shows of the summer season.

At Hampton Court Palace a double decker structure (pictured left) measuring nearly 1,100 square meters offered stunning views across the show gardens, Palace and deer park for visitors to dine in a deli-style café on the ground floor or a stylish VIP restaurant above.

Neptunus also supplied and installed Alu Halls for public restaurants and pergola-style structures alongside the Long Water Lake for additional public catering. It took Neptunus’ technicians just two weeks to erect the catering facilities for the event – complete with interior fit-out, carpets, toilets and air-conditioning. 2015 marked the 25th anniversary of the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show which attracted more than 130,000 visitors from July 10-15.

In May Neptunus was in action at the Royal Hospital Gardens for the world-famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Neptunus created a prestigious Hospitality Village from two Alure Globe structures, measuring 12m x 50m each, with shade canopies and decked walkways. With full vision glazing and an innovative curved roof, its distinctive appearance created an impression of quality and luxury.

Around the show, Neptunus also supplied Alu Halls for the Exhibitors’ Restaurant and additional structures for the Bandstand, public catering and essential services including the police and ticket collection office.

Both these high-profile projects set within historically important grounds present significant challenges to ensure the gardens are not damaged during the build programme. Neptunus collaborated with the Hampton Court Palace and the Chelsea Hospital site management teams to plan and carry out the installations, ensuring the grounds were protected throughout.
