Neptunus in the frame at world’s leading art fair

Northampton: February 25, 2015: Temporary structure specialist Neptunus is once again playing a key role at the prestigious TEFAF Maastricht art and antiques fair being staged in The Netherlands from March 13-22.

Regarded as one the world’s leading art fairs TEFAF Maastricht attracts thousands of visitors from across the globe – including collectors and museum representatives – for a high-profile, ten-day long event where dealers can buy masterpieces of art, antiques and fine design from 275 of the top galleries on the planet.

The popular event, which is held each year at MECC Maastricht, requires all the space available at the city’s conference and exhibition centre to accommodate the thousands of precious exhibits on display.

Neptunus has been the preferred supplier to TEFAF Maastricht since being appointed in 2007 to provide the much-needed additional space for a 400-seat temporary restaurant, catering pavilions and additional structures to support the event’s complex logistics process.

Neptunus’ technicians create the stylish restaurant within an ultra-modern 900 square metre Evolution II structure which includes a reception area and covered walkway for guests.

Niels Glandorff, responsible for finance and purchasing for TEFAF Maastricht, says: "Neptunus provides TEFAF with the perfect solution when the existing space in the MECC was no longer sufficient to accommodate all our requirements. In addition to creating a restaurant that can seat 400 people, Neptunus also provides various tents that support the logistics process of the art fair.”

The leading galleries from 20 nations attend TEFAF Maastricht which is a continuously evolving showcase for the best works of art currently on the market. In addition to the traditional areas of old master paintings and antique works of art, visitors can view and buy a wide variety of classical modern and contemporary art, photographs, as well as jewellery, 20th century design and works on paper.

TEFAF Maastricht also prides itself on being unequalled in its level of quality and in the methods it employs to establish and guarantee the authenticity of every painting and object on offer. Participating dealers are admitted only after a strict selection process. TEFAF Maastricht’s ground-breaking vetting system involves no fewer than 175 international experts in 29 different categories who examine every work of art in the fair for quality, authenticity and condition.
