Love Frocks summer collection debuts at fashion boutique
Award-winning Love Frocks fashion designer Natalie Beard, whose innovative creations have attracted celebrity clients, is showcasing her exclusive summer collection at a Cheshire boutique.
Nine unique dresses, created by Natalie at her fashion studio on The Heath Business and Technical Park in Runcorn, are being sold by Eve, an independent design label fashion store in Frodsham. “I’ve been incredibly busy and business is booming,” said 25-year-old Natalie. “All my dresses are one-offs and nine pieces from my summer collection went on sale at Eve in June. The store has already sold some of them and we are talking about having a special collection for Christmas.” Natalie has been inundated with requests for dresses for prestigious race meetings including the Grand National at Aintree, Ascot and Chester races. Now with the school proms and a demand for prom dresses, the talented designer has hired a second seamstress to ease the workload. Love Frocks has gone from strength to strength since its launch at The Heath in September 2008. Natalie started the business from home after completing a degree in fashion at Liverpool John Moores University in 2006. She has a boutique at The Heath which she describes as a ‘drop-in’ studio. Fans of her work include C4’s Hollyoaks actresses Emma Rigby who played Hannah Ashworth and Nathalie Emmanuel who plays Sasha Valentine. Natalie created a stunning Rihanna-inspired dress for Nathalie’s recent 21st birthday party. Love Frocks won the New Business Award at the 107.2 Wire FM Awards 2009 in December. The accolade came just months after Natalie wowed crowds with her Spring/Summer collection at the New Designers Show at Liverpool Fashion Week. “Business is thriving with the help of social networking sites. My Facebook page has hit the 5,000 friend limit and I recently discovered that Lady Gaga is following Love Frocks on Twitter! Who knows, I might be able to make her a dress one day,” said Natalie.
