Webcast surge boosts business for Runcorn media specialists
A surge in demand for webcasts and interactive websites has boosted business for Runcorn-based leading multimedia specialists CD&P Media.
With more companies realising the huge business potential of web-stream technology, sound bites, webcasts and blogs are no longer the prerogative of TV presenters, politicians and celebrities. John O’Sullivan, Director of CD&P Media, predicts the demand for the webcast will rocket as organisations flock to tap into this fast-growing trend. “The webcast is the wave of the future. More businesses are waking up to the fact that they can communicate with their staff and get personal messages to UK and global clients almost instantaneously with a webcast,” said John who moved his successful CD&P Media operations to The Heath Business and Technical Park in Runcorn a year ago. CD&P Media has seen a recent surge in demand for webcast packages. In the run-up to the General Election, John and his team came to the aid of a clutch of prospective parliamentary candidates each wishing to relay messages to the electorate via a webcast. Graham Evans, the Conservative candidate for Weaver Vale, recognised the potential benefit of being able to engage directly, personally and articulately with his constituents, and was duly rewarded with his election as Member of Parliament for the constituency. “The video webcast I created with CD&P really engaged the public on the issues that affected them.” said Graham. “I was able to talk to a wide audience, to introduce myself, to explain policies and to really illustrate the Conservative Party’s commitment to the constituency much more emphatically. “I am delighted to have worked with CD&P and will certainly be recommending their integrated services to my colleagues!” “I believe this is just the start,” said John. “We expect more MPs to follow these candidates on the webcast route and stream video messages to the electorate on the constituency website. It is the future and we are ready for it.” CD&P Media has helped transform business for countless companies and organisations in the UK and abroad and many such as Warrington-based Cruden Group, have been clients for over 20 years. “Our specialised team of imaginative web and graphic designers have produced high-quality video footage which is then streamed seamlessly onto the client’s company website. “It costs less than £500 and has enabled executives to speak directly to clients on the other side of the world without leaving their office. The webcast facility has also helped smaller companies forge stronger business relationships with international customers. “It is a great marketing tool which essentially brings a company’s products, services and key personnel literally to life on the website. It is a cost effective and efficient way for businesses to communicate.” John employs a full-time team of six professionals based at The Heath, and uses broadcast-trained film crews, creative scriptwriters and experienced editors to deliver high quality multimedia packages tailor-made for each client. “We pride ourselves on being one of the North West’s leading independent media houses specialising in the creation of dynamic, cost-effective corporate DVD and video packages, graphics, interactive websites and newsletters,” he said. “Our studios and operations are fully self-contained and everything we produce is done in-house so clients can feel safe in the knowledge that the work is being created in a secure area,” said John. John, a former print journalist, has more than 25 years experience in the multimedia and marketing sector. His decision to move his operations to purpose-built hi-tech studios at The Heath has been fortuitous. “Moving to The Heath has helped us keep going during the recession and we have picked up business from other residents on-site,” said John. “It’s a perfect location. It allows us to reach video shoots all over the UK from Manchester and Liverpool to Glasgow and London.” CD&P Media is one of the best resourced video production units in the UK with the AVID edit suites and state-of-the-art DigiBeta cameras to produce corporate DVDs, and health and safety videos, interactive websites and interactive newsletters. “A corporate video really can help bring your company to life,” said John. “It has helped multinational blue-chip companies for years. But the great thing now is that with advances in video technology, the production costs have come down making it affordable for smaller organisations. “We have recently produced corporate videos for a range of clients – from large pharmaceutical, construction and housing clients through to SMEs and even ‘one man bands!’ “Our aim is to ensure that whatever the medium, client messages remain consistent and of the very highest quality.”
