De Boer supports Dogs for the Disabled
Brackley-based De Boer has donated a temporary structure to local charity Dogs for the Disabled for its 21st birthday celebrations.
An Alu Hall measuring 12 by 15 metres is being used for a variety of events taking place including an information day, workshops and fundraising evenings. The week-long festivities take place from July 25 to August 1. The charity, based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, trains dogs to carry out a range of practical tasks to assist disabled children and adults in achieving greater independence. It also provides a programme to support families with autistic children. Allie Hogsbjerg, Communications Officer for Dogs for the Disabled, said: “We are very grateful that De Boer has chosen to support Dogs for the Disabled in this our 21st birthday year. To celebrate this milestone in the charity’s history, a special week of events and celebrations has been planned. “Thanks to the loan of a temporary structure by De Boer, the charity will be holding a range of meetings and workshops for existing and potential clients and a number of fundraising events. We hope that the week will give us the opportunity to develop our relationship with our supporters, as we strive to continue to provide a vital range of services for adults and children with a disability.” James Watts, De Boer Sales Manager, said: “Dogs for the Disabled is a fantastic local charity and we are delighted to support it. The charity does amazing work for the community and this is our way of giving something back.”
