Ground Force star Tommy Walsh at Blenheim Palace Flower Show 2016
Celebrity Ground Force builder Tommy Walsh will be offering spades of advice and tips to visitors to the Blenheim Palace Flower Show on Saturday, June 18th.
Tommy, one of the stars of the popular BBC TV Ground Force programme will be giving a series of entertaining talks.
The Blenheim Palace Flower Show, staged from June 17-19, will be officially opened on the Friday by stage and screen legend Sir Ian McKellen, one of the UKs most respected actors and star of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies.
A record number of floral and garden exhibitors are taking part this year which marks the fourth edition of the show at the World Heritage Site in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, which was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and is home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough.
Each year the show attracts thousands of visitors thanks to its enticing recipe of gardening and floral exhibitors, experts and show gardens that appeal to visitors of all ages with plenty for both experienced and novice gardeners.
At the heart of the show is a 20,000 square foot Grand Floral Pavilion featuring more than 30 floral displays and a large selection of flowers and plants from the UKs finest plantsman.
The show will also feature a selection of inspiring Show Gardens created by some of the UKs leading garden designers including a garden for the Blackbird Trust designed by students. Visitors can also browse and purchase the latest products from hundreds of floral and garden exhibitors, or sample and purchase foods and nibbles in the food marquee.
