Our media consultancy is operated by experienced journalists and PR professionals.

Managing Director Paul Smith has held senior executive posts at many of Britain's leading national groups including Associated Newspapers (Mail on Sunday and Daily Mail), Express Newspapers and Mirror Group (Daily Mirror). He has worked as a news reporter, feature writer, foreign editor, news editor and editor. In 1998 Paul resigned his post as editor of the Daily Mirror's Irish editions to launch Paul Smith Associates. He had worked for Mirror Group for nine years.
PSA Director Debbie Smith is a feature/financial writer who specialises in media training and is an adviser to some of the world's leading oil companies on "media crisis management". Debbie has worked on regional and national newspapers as a general news reporter and a specialist writer on health and showbiz.
Account Director Peter Anderson is an expert in the field of media training. As a journalist, Peter has held a number of senior positions on leading UK regional newspapers, magazines and business-to-business newsletters. He specialises in copy writing, designing and editing newsletters/brochures.
Account Director Gavin Grey has been a broadcast journalist for more than 20 years. He has worked as a reporter/presenter in national and regional newsrooms for ITV and the BBC as well as Sky News. Gavin has also media trained some of the country's top executives and helped multinational companies with their crisis communication strategies.
Account Director Lynn Pegler is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a former newspaper journalist. Lynn is highly experienced in media relations, crisis management and public affairs. She has held senior managerial posts within public corporations, central government and the Army and has provided communications expertise to both private and public-sector clients.
Account Director Pravina Patel is a journalist with more than 20 years’ experience on regional and national newspapers. Over the past 15 years, Pravina has worked on The Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, The Sun, and the Mail on Sunday. She has extensive experience on the news desk, foreign desk and as night news editor. Pravina also spent three years as news editor of Communique, BT’s only glossy bi-monthly telecommunications magazine.
Account Executive Davina Patel is a journalism graduate from the London College of Communication with editorial experience on various publications including as a writer and columnist for the Eastern Eye newspaper.
Sharon Blackwood is PSA's office manager with responsibility for administration and accounts.
